Sadio Mane To Miss World Cup With Injury

 

It's been a heartbreaking day for the people of Senegal following the injury that was suffered by Sadio Mane.

The Bayern Munich forward player picked up an injury against Werder Bremen while playing for his club on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022. According to reports from L'Equipe, the Senegalese vice-captain has been ruled out of the World Cup.

The reports coming from Senegal is that they are yet to receive an official statement from Bayern Munich concerning Mane's injury. Renowned Journalist, Usher Komugisha confirmed the news on her official Twitter account.

The former Liverpool player is suffering from a tendon and is expected to miss several weeks of competition. Mane has been a key part of Senegal's success in recent years, he helped them win the African Cup of Nations and qualification for the World Cup at the expense of Egypt.
