OGUN 2019: Prince Adekunbi Suraj The People's Choice - ORYF

An apolitical youth organization, Ogun Renaissance Youth Forum (ORYF) has said direct or indirect primary, Prince Adekunbi Suraju is the electorate's governorship choice. The group, comprising youths from the three senatorial districts of the state made this assertion in a communiqué they issued at the end of their second annual retreat held Friday 21st July, 2018 at Abeokuta the state capital.

"Direct or indirect primary, in fairness to the Hon Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, he has towered above every bidder within the Ogun APC in the gubernatorial contest in ways that can't be disputed", the communiqué partly read. It went further, "We have been observing the aspirants keenly. It was noticed that PAS' coming into the governorship race is neither by accident nor an afterthought. Besides, amongst them all, it is glaring that he declared his intention to run well in time and has been consistent since coming out."

"If merit is to be used as yardstick, then, it is the Hon Speaker. As a hardworking and focused youth, at age 32 he used his personal savings to contest in 2007 and lost. Esin kii dani kama tun gun. By 2011 he relaunched himself using his personal savings again. God of hardworking and steadfastness eventually rewarded him. He won this time around and became the youngest Speaker of the OGHA at age 36." Waao!

ORYF also noted that Suraj Adekunbi is not just a Speaker. He is a successful one indeed. We are proud of him. To the Ogun State youths, anyone who can successfully lead Ogun Assembly for two terms has already governed mini Ogun State. There can be no better way to garner governance experience than that.

ORYF President, Comrade Gbenga Soge in his remarks stated that there is virtually no section of who matters that the young ebullient and zestful Number Three Citizen has not reached out to.
And that findings from leading party faithfuls revealed that PAS' loyalty to Senator Ibikunle Amosun has been unprecedentedly unalloyed. A corollary of which is that his penchant for Ogun State to grow in a miraculous way as witnessed in SIA two-term administration has had a gentleman's and spirit of sportsmanship input from the state Assembly Suraj Adekunbi has been leading since 2011.

'It is our expectation', opined Mr. Sanusi Azeez the Secretary of the youth forum, 'that our leaders would consider a populist view and zero down on PAS. We just hope so."
