Senator Adeola Facilitates Construction Of Ultramodern Police Station In Ibara

 

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, has facilitated the construction and furnishing of an ultramodern police station in Ibara, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The project, which is aimed at strengthening security architecture and community development in the state, is equipped with modern operational and welfare facilities comprising of two units of three-bedroom bungalows for police personnel, a 30KVA generator, a 15KVA solar inverter, air-conditioning systems, and modern water facilities.

Adeola, who is also the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Ogun State, said the intervention was part of his commitment to improving security infrastructure and enhancing the welfare of security operatives.

According to him, beyond providing physical structures, the project addresses personnel welfare, which is critical to effective policing.

“With decent accommodation, steady power supply and improved operational facilities, police officers will be better positioned to respond to emergencies, sustain presence within their areas of responsibility and discharge their duties in a more conducive environment” he noted.

Adeola maintained that security remains fundamental to economic growth, commercial activities, industrial expansion and the well-being of citizens, stressing that businesses thrive and investors make long-term plans where adequate security is guaranteed.

The lawmaker has in recent years facilitated several other infrastructure projects across Ogun State, including road construction and rehabilitation, educational infrastructure, healthcare facilities, agricultural support and other community development initiatives.

Observers noted that the spread of such projects underscores the importance of extending public infrastructure beyond major urban centres to ensure balanced growth and social inclusion.

The Ibara Police Station adds to the list of federal projects attracted to the state through legislative representation, with stakeholders calling for effective utilisation and proper maintenance to ensure long-term benefits.
