Senator Solomon Adeola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, has expressed deep sadness over the death of popular Yoruba actor, Mr. Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District, described the actor’s death after an illness as a great loss to his family, Ogun State and Nigeria’s creative and entertainment industry.
In a condolence message to the family, the senator said he was particularly saddened by the passing of Hassan, whom he described as a brother who believed in and worked assiduously for his political cause and the development of the people.
“I am greatly saddened by the death of a brother who believed and worked assiduously for my cause and the cause of our people. I sympathise with his immediate family for their efforts and struggles to keep the dearly departed alive following his illness. God knows best in all circumstances,” Adeola said.
The senator noted that Ogogo’s contributions to society through filmmaking and positive advocacy would remain memorable, stressing that the late thespian left behind a legacy worthy of emulation.
Adeola also pledged continued support for the bereaved family during their period of grief, assuring them that the late actor’s contributions and good deeds to society would not be forgotten.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of Hassan’s soul and for God to grant his immediate family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
