Phillipe Coutinho Set to Join Aston Villa on Loan

 Barcelona's midfielder, Phillipe Coutinho is set to join Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.

Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Friday, January 7th, 2022. According to reports from the tweet, Villa and Countinho have agreed on a personal deal after direct contact between both parties.

Coutinho left Liverpool in 2018 for Barcelona but the transfer did not go well as expected between both parties. He was later sent on loan to Bayern Munich in 2019 with an option to buy but the Bundesliga club decided not to trigger that part of the deal.

Aston Villa are expected to pay the huge part of Countinho's salary during the loan time with the Premier League side. The Brazilian scored 41 goals and 35 assists in 152 Premier League games while he was at Liverpool.
