Wizkid Wins “Best African Act” At The 2021 MTV EMA

 

Nigeria’s iconic Afrobeats superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has won the award for “Best African Act” at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The ‘Essence’ star won the “Best African Act” at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA). He successfully knocked off his colleague, Tems, Ghanaian artist- Amaarae, Tanzanian artist- Diamond Platnumz, and South African hitmaker, Focalistic who were nominated in the same category.

Meanwhile, Wizkid has now become the most decorated African act at the MTV EMAs with another win at the Best African Act category. The award was held yesterday in Budapest, Hungary.
