Pro-democracy campaigner and Convener of RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, will be arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, SaharaReporters can confirm.
The Department of State Services had on Friday charged Sowore on seven counts bordering on conspiracy to commit treason, cyberstalking President Muhammadu Buhari, and also insulting him in a television interview.
Sowore was arrested in Lagos on August 3, 2019 for planning a series of peaceful protests against bad governance in Nigeria.
Despite calls for his release, the government has continued to hold on to him, violating his fundamental human rights in the process.
