HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISM IN NIGERIA (BANE OR BOON)

  The history of human rights activism in Nigeria is the history of truncated national aspirations. I speak of the national aspiration as contained in our national anthem and  pledge. let us have a synopsis of our national anthem and make a comparison of the state of the nation.

  This is because when Nigerians arise as compatriots to obey Nigeria's call to serve their fatherland with love and strength and faith, are they sure the labours of their heroes past shall not be in vain?By the way,what are those labours of the heroes past? What noble cause are we asking the God of creation to direct?,wait! Which leaders(the canker wormers) are we praying to be guided aright?what truth are we requesting our youths to know when almost the essential use of the land have been sent to pre-mature graves for daring to speak the truth.what lofty height are we praying to attain?, can peace and justice reign in a plan-less nation?.come to think of it, has Nigeria even experienced peace since its independence in 1960?
