Don’t Politicize Students Structure – NANS Warns Impersonator, Gov. Abiodun’s Aide

 

The attention of the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun Joint Campus Committee has been drawn to a media statement credited to an impersonator, Abiodun Simeon, alleging Hon. Abdulmajeed Adekoya of dabbling into students affairs in the state, we want to state categorically that this is untrue, false, and misleading and an attempt by some unscrupulous elements to bring to disrepute the person of Hon. Adekoya. 

We want to set the record straight that Hon. Adekoya is one of the few Federal Lawmakers who have been up and doing in ensuring that the students and youth constituency gets the dividends of democracy from their representatives. 

It should be recalled that Hon. Adekoya recently donated laptops to students in the gateway state and also facilitated Google training that can enable students in Ogun state to be equipped with knowledge relevant to current tech situation, and this we appreciate. 

Meanwhile, we will like to call the attention of the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to caution his Special Assistant on Students Matters, Adeyemi Azeez, and his kangaroo NANS executive committee in the state to stop politicizing the student structure for their personal gains. 

It is on record that Adeyemi, who knows the culture and constitution of NANS, went ahead to conduct a kangaroo election to install his stooges to perpetrate and unleash mayhem on any students that does not align with his rascally ideology. 

We will also like to intimate Gov. Abiodun that Adeyemi has brought more ridicule to the present administration and the state at large through his rascality, disrespect for human right and abuse of power. 

We want to state categorically that, as much as we are a peace loving people, we will not hesitate to take necessary actions on Adeyemi, Simeon and their counterparts if they don’t desist from impersonating the students’ leadership in the state.

Also, we also want to call the attention of security agents within the state to take note of this set of individuals and their actions as it may mar the safety and security of entire students in the gateway state. 

In a later statement from us, we will expose what happened as it concerns some contracts in our tertiary institution(s) as we have been reliably briefed and still collecting other information on the subject of this statement. 

We also want to tell the government that this set of individuals are bent on embarrassing the government anytime things are not running in their favour. A typical example was the event where the wife of the Governor was embarrassed recently right in front of the Governor’s office gate. 

All that happened that day was a script written by the SA students and acted by these set of unscrupulous elements. 

Also in a later press statement we shall expose how the SA has been contracting youths and students to send text messages to the Governor all for his personal gains and against the reality on our campus. 

We hope that Gov. Abiodun will take necessary action as soon as possible, as we shall also continue to keep you and your enviable government posted.
